Erika Murphy shares this one. She likes how they dressed up their old rusty mail box with a glass knob. Her comments: "I found this beauty while touring The Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill (that is the actual name...what a mouthfull). Located in Slinger, Wisconsin."
Thanks, Erika!

Robert Ore shares this one near Fyfield in Essex, England. I think it's kind of unusual as the post boxes in Britain are usually kept up pretty well.
Thanks, Robert!

Karen Thornton-Smith sends us this very interesting rusty mailbox. It may not look unusual at first glance but it is. That's because this mailbox with "U.S. Mail" embossed lives in England, southeast of London at at Jockey Farm, Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Wouldn't it be great to know the whole story of that emigration.
Thanks, Karen!
Thanks, Karen!

Wayland Kramer sends us this one saying, "Just outside of Washington, D.C., in the once rural community of Damascus, Maryland, a little bit of country can still be found. This mailbox is still in use by the USPS and a seasonal family of wasps." Not much of this mailbox can rust but the part than can is certainly doing the job.
Thanks, Wayland!

Thanks, Chuck!

Elizabeth Moraux shares this one found in Richmond, Tasmania, Australia, saying: Richmond is a village that has a lot of well-preserved colonial buildings and people there are conscious of the heritage value of their surroundings. This letterbox is inset in a modern door; the rust has been retained and presumably is appreciated by the owner, as patina should be.
Thanks, Elizabeth!
