Both sides of another one on Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio. Again, here can be found the Google Street View - looks like one was changed since the Google folks went by.

RM #1000
Two or three times a week I travel on Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio, and notice a few RMs but I usually can't stop. Today on the occasion of RM #1000 I made a special point to capture a few. So here is Number One Thousand - you can see it here on Google Street View - perhaps it wasn't as rusty when Google photographed it.

RM #116

This rusty mailbox on Hayden Run Road in Hilliard, Ohio, is possibly unique.
The big rusty mailbox hangs there and holds a modern plastic one. The house it serves is an old one built in 1880 so maybe the owners didn't want a modern monstrosity in front of their vintage abode.
Heather Weddle spotted this one. Thanks, Heather!!
July, 2011, update another such aberration was found west of Chicago - click here: RM #507.

As we were driving on Hilliard-Cemetery Road in the Columbus - Hilliard area of northwest Columbus I spotted three rusty mailboxes.

Three close to home
RM #9:This one is one Fishinger Road in Norwich township between Hilliard and Upper Arlington. To me it looks like it's made of thick iron or steel so probably the rust will not destroy it soon.
Here's one in Columbus on Dunlavin Glen - I think the house is empty, perhaps new residents will spruce up the mailbox.
This one is on Dublin Road north of Fishinger - the winter and maybe a snow plow have taken a toll.
